Release Notes: On-Demand Classes and TalentLMS Integration

Create self-paced, on-demand classes and optionally integrate with your TalentLMS subscription for hosted content and automatic progress tracking.

Many associations employ a combination of in-person and online training.  Over recent years, we’ve observed an uptick in the use of “On Demand” training, where associations will pre-record training materials and deliver them using TalentLMS.

We are thrilled to introduce the highly anticipated integration with “TalentLMS” (a leading Learning Management System), so that the association members can access online course materials from within Engagifii.  And even better, the participant’s learning status is automatically reflected in Engagifii, so the association staff doesn’t need to spend time exporting spreadsheets and generating training reports.  It’s all automatic.

Release Details:

Seamless Integration of on-demand classes with TalentLMS:

Quickly create new TalentLMS courses from within Engagifii or tie to an existing TalentLMS course.

• Participants can access TalentLMS material from within their Engagifii profile.

Real-time Progress Data Updated from TalentLMS:

Progress data is automatically fetched from TalentLMS to update two crucial columns on the class participants tab within a Class multiple times throughout the day.  Admins can also force a refresh any time with the click of a button:

• Class Completion Status
• Time Spent

Automated Attendance Marking:

• Attendance for on-demand classes can now conveniently be marked automatically based on the status updates from TalentLMS.
• Like other classes in Engagifii, marking attendance will result in credit earned toward any relevant Awards or Endorsements.

Training Transcripts:

• Permissioned users can generate detailed transcripts for on-demand classes, providing proof of learning as a valuable resource for participants.

Participant List Export:

• On-demand class participant export is now updated with details of TalentLMS status updates.

How To / Instructions:

Linking on-demand class with TalentLMS - Administrators can easily link their On-Demand Class to TalentLMS from the class detail page under "Class Format."

• Use "Link to access class" to connect the Engagifii class with an existing TalentLMS class or create a new TalentLMS class from Engagifii workspace and link it with the Engagifii class.

Notes:

1. Admins will first need to create an on-demand class
2. TalentLMS cannot be linked to single-day or multi-day class
3. The "in-person" class option is not available for On-Demand Classes

Fetching current progress status from TalentLMS

Two new columns have been added under class participants tab:

• Class Completion Status (TLMS)

• Time Spent (TLMS)

Notes:

• At regular intervals, both the above mentioned columns are updated. This means that updated data from TalentLMS is fetched and reflected in these two columns in Engagifii and this happens multiple times throughout the day.
• The same can also be achieved on demand by clicking the “Update TalentLMS Status” button.

Mark attendance automatically

We have provided the functionality to automatically mark class attendance. As soon as user clicks the “Mark attendance automatically” button, the attendance data from TalentLMS “Class Completion Status” column would automatically reflect in “Marked Credit Hours” column

Finalizing the attendance from the wrench icon finalizes credits and the same gets updated in the  “Earned Credit Hours (Finalized)” column. Once attendance has been finalized for a class, Engagifii stops fetching status updates from TalentLMS.

Finalizing the attendance would result into three actions:

1. “Update TalentLMS Status” button would get disabled.
2. Option to mark attendance automatically or manually would no longer be available.
3. “Earned Credit Hours (Finalized)” column would get updated.

Renaming the “Earned Credit hours” column

We have provided additional functionality to rename the “Earned Credit hours” column as per the need of the client. To rename this column, the users can navigate to Settings and Configuration>>System Settings>>Manage Types>>Accreditation>>Credit Types.

Generating Transcripts

• Transcripts now display class dates as "On-demand" for relevant classes.

Planned Future Enhancements

• Registration Status column on participants tab and filter.
• A better experience for the participant to go from Registration to accessing the TalentLMS materials
