Engagifii Product Update - October, 2023

We’ve been making tons of progress in recent weeks on the Engagifii platform. Here's a summary of what's been released recently and what's coming soon!

Recent Releases

First, let’s talk about recent releases.  These are key items that have been released into production and are available for your team’s use today.

  • Approving Organization Field Updates - For some time, you’ve had the ability to designate situations where updates made to people in your database must be approved by someone on your staff.  We’ve iterated and improved that over time thanks to customer feedback and are now adapting the same functionality to Organizations.  In the coming weeks, you’ll have the ability to also send organizational profile updates down approval paths as well.

  • Refunds Improvements - You’ve had the ability to refund in most situations for quite some time.  But there have been edge cases and payment methods where that hasn’t been possible.  We’re making updates to close many of those gaps.

    • Improved UI
    • Handling more refund failure reasons from Credit Card processors

  • On-Demand Classes - Most classes are taught live.  They may be in person or online, but there’s an instructor who’s teaching in real time.  Engagifii has always handled those situations.  However, in the modern world, a lot of training has moved to self-paced, online-only, on-demand training.  We’re adding a way to designate classes that fit that bill.



  • TalentLMS Integration Enhancements - Many of our clients use TalentLMS to manage their on-demand classes.  For some time, we’ve had the ability to integrate with TalentLMS and interact with the courses within it, but have not had the ability to track participant progress toward course credit and award completion within Engagifii.  This release will include that new benefit.

  • Policy Module - Lots more to come on this soon.  The new Policy Module allows you to draft policy and legislation documents, interact with your advisory committees and members to gather feedback and insight, then manage ongoing versions of the document as it evolves over time.

  • Field Visibility - Say you have a field on a person’s profile that shows their shirt size or personality profile.  It’s important information you need to track, but don’t necessarily want to expose it to the member when she is updating her own profile.  Field Visibility will allow you to designate who can see individual fields when looking at the exact same profile, allowing you to show or conceal as you see fit.  In this example, I’m only allowing staff to see the “Cell Phone” field.

  • Improved Sorting for Class and Event lists - In the past, your Events list was really an “All Events” list.  The downside of that is that, over time, you’d have a massive back-catalog of events that clutter the view when you’re trying to look ahead at upcoming events.  With this upgrade, your Events list will default to only showing Upcoming Events.  You can expose past events through selecting a filter.

In Development / Nearing release

Along with several behind-the-scenes enhancements aimed at improving load times and overall system performance, we also have several new in-app releases nearing completion of their development and testing.  You should expect to see these in the platform in the coming days and weeks.

  • Committees Enhancements (Currently in final testing) - We’ve had Committees in Engagifii for some time and our clients are using it a bunch!  With that has come some learning and needs for iteration.  With this release, you’ll have more control around start and end dates for committee members, displaying them based on committee position ranking, exporting, and more.

  • New Report - Training Credits Earned by a person in a timeframe - See your training credits earned, broken out by people, organizations, and courses

  • Deactivate / Delete Organizations - Get past vendors, members, or other organizations that are no longer relevant out of your field of view by deactivating them.  They’ll be removed from your “Organizations” list, but still can be found behind a filter. 

  • Terms for Elected and Appointed Positions - Many of your members are elected or appointed for a set term.  We’re building the functionality to allow you to designate their terms and track the history as they are appointed, elected, re-elected, leave, and come back over time.

  • Changing Person Types / Assigning Multiple Person Types - Sometimes, a Member takes a job at the association and becomes a member of your Staff.  In the past, you haven’t been able to make that change.  With this release, you’ll be able to change person types.  But you’ll also be able to create custom Person Types and apply more than one a given person too!

  • Constant Contact Mailing List Integration - Automatically sync people from Engagifii over to Constant Contact using a set it and forget it configuration.  Choose your lists or people, point them toward a Constant Contact mailing list, and relax.  It’ll update on its own with no oversight from you.  When you log into Constant Contact, the lists are just already up to date.

  • PayPal Integration - We already have Authorize.net and Stripe as available integrated payment processors.  PayPal is next on the list.

Next for Development

Below is a list of items that we’ve envisioned and prepared for development.  They are not displayed in release order and, even if they were, they’d shift around over time, but we do expect most to be deployed and in production before January, 2024.  As we get closer and this list dwindles, we’ll be able to more proactively communicate which items (if any)end up at risk of slipping past the New Year.
