A permissioned admin can now register anyone for an event, regardless of most conditions that would normally forbid it
One thing we've tried to do with Engagifii is to build things in such a way that mistakes are eliminated. One such mistake we've observed in other platforms is double-registration; or duplicate registrations. In other systems, someone might register for an event, then accidentally register again at some later date. This presents obvious problems. Your attendee list is wrong, you've double-billed or even been double-paid. You've got confusing, duplicate badges and ordered an extra lunch.
So, Engagifii addressed this by ensuring that registrants have logged in and, once they've registered for an event, disabling the Register button. This simple approach fixes all of those issues.
However, associations have a nuance. So often, the participant is not registering him or herself. An admin at their office is registering a group of people at once on their behalves. And if the registration included the admin themselves, that meant that the button would be disabled going forward and they couldn't do subsequent registrations of additional people from the member office.
So, we've introduced new permissions that allow for an admin, Member or Staff, to enable the Register button and register people for an event, even if they're already registered themselves. They still won't be able to select their own name when choosing participants, so the issues cited above are still cured, but are no longer blocked from subsequent registrations.
Yet another simple solution to a longstanding problem that has plagued event registration systems forever!
