When you need to move attendees between classes or even swap out attendees entirely, Registration Modification is here to help
The simple fact is that things don't always go as planned. Sometimes, your member admin will register 4 people for a conference, then one can't make it. Or Billy got registered to the pre-conference workshop, but now Suzy needs to go in his place. Adjustments are natural, expected, and common. So, we've worked hard to find a way for you and your staff to easily move the chess pieces around.
Here's a quick walkthrough of how it works:
Scenarios that will not allow for modification:
- The previous invoice associated with a registration has been paid through a credit note.
- The payment for an invoice has a credit note linked to it (refund or non-refund).
- The invoice for a registration is currently in a held state.
- The invoice for a registration is in a void state.
- The invoice for a registration is in a partial paid state.
- If the new invoice is less than the original invoice, a credit note will be issued and in this iteration admin will not have the option to refund a credit note. In short, there is not an option to directly refund this. This functionality will be introduced in the future iteration as an enhancement. For now, to process a refund for a credit note, admins are required to navigate to the "All Transactions" page manually, where they will find the option to initiate the refund for the respective credit note.
- Self registration: Modify option will not be available.
- Registration Modification only works on Event registrations at the moment. Classes registered for outside of an event are not able to be modified at this time.
